Equal Partnerships in Practice
11 June 2021
Practising partnerships with equivalence - a practice that seeks to support and inspire all engagements between The Bartlett and international partners in the civil society, the public and private sector.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Bartlett’s staff and students, and our international partners, have developed innovative ways to work together. This includes the research team working on Greening the Recovery in Ghana and Zambia, who have taken part in a UCL initiative called ‘Engaging internationally beyond the lockdown: practicing partnerships with equivalence’. Through a video series, this initiative showcases experiences of remote collaboration and engagement by research teams and their partners.
The video below features members of the Greening the Recovery project team from Ghana, Zambia and the UK. In the video, they emphasise the importance of working together with key decision-makers in Ghana and Zambia throughout their project - and not just communicating results when the research is complete. By co-developing future scenarios and policy proposals that take into account stakeholder views, the research is better placed to support the integration of climate change and economic recovery policies.
