Michael Berry

Michael Berry is a student in the 2020-21 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).

As capital tied up in housing is considered the single major component of national capital Michael is interested in investigating the accumulative effects of property-based wealth disparity, and related laws and policy in the UK/Europe endeavoring to understand the impact on social mobility/ equity, and capital: proposing remedying solutions through PhD level research and project work. With 22 years experience as a child in care, LLB graduate, and founder of his own social mobility projects, Michael is dedicated to applying his legal/personal experiences into a research career that delivers a more sustainable/ equitable economy which emboldens greater social mobility and standard of living.
