Joseph Shuttleworth

Dawn is a student in the 2022-23 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).

Joe is an engineer with seven years international experience working in the water and environment sector. He currently works at the built environment consultancy Arup as their Global Digital Water Skills Lead, his work mainly focuses on three areas; the intersection of water systems and public health, the development of novel market mechanisms for the delivery of Nature Based Solutions and the development of community based governance and ownership models for water infrastructure. Joe is interested in the role of government in market shaping, frameworks for decision making and the impact of digital technology on society. In his spare time he enjoys running and cycling.
