Jaspal Samra is a student in the 2021-22 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Jaspal has an extensive background working in regulatory policy and strategy in the UK communications sector. He has worked on policy areas including public service broadcasting, diversity on-screen and, currently, preparations for regulating online platforms to reduce harm online. Jaspal is interested in applying lessons from the IIPP MPA to regulation and in fully exploring how the public sector can support innovation. He previously studied Politics and Economics (BSc) at the University of Bristol and Development Studies (MSc) at the LSE.
