Adriana Rasip is a student in the 2022-23 cohort of UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP)'s Master of Public Administration (MPA).
Adriana has been a community development practitioner working alongside low-income families in Singapore. She is an advocate of Asset-based Community Development, where citizens become co-creators of initiatives for the well-being of the community. Her most recent projects include the enabling of formation of a collective of gig workers, the building of a community space for mutual help in the neighbourhood and the giving of grants to low-income families to work on their aspirations. Adriana's aspiration is to redesign and reimagine social assistance in Singapore as investments into the potential of low-income families, leveraging on their assets rather than merely focusing on their needs!
