Halima Hamid

Halima is a citizen social scientist from Beckton. She is working on the Prosperity in east London 2021-2031 longitudinal study, as well as the Creative Wick/UCL East Meanwhile Use project.

Yago Soto is a citizen social scientist from North Kensington. He is working to research what local residents believe makes a ‘good life’ in North Kensington. Yago is drawn to the opportunity to explore his community, learn new skills and take time to sit with important questions that impact their daily lives. He is also interested in the “changes citizens can make through gathering their own data."

She is interested in how different members of society can work with scientists and contribute towards improving communities through different forms of data.

Coco Baptiste

She is working to research what local residents believe makes a ‘good life’ in North Kensington, and she is interested in pursuing the courses she wants to ‘take the new skills and knowledge that I learn and combine them into my passion for film creation’.

Zarah is interested in being a part of the citizen science research as she believes it is important for the people in her area to be involved in the decision making. ‘Citizen science allows the voices of a community to be heard through our research and this research can then impact the decisions made about the area’.
