Life of PIE (Prosperity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship) is an original podcast from UCL Institute for Global Prosperity, hosted by Prosperity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship MSc programme lead, Dr Onya Idoko and produced by programme graduate, Juan Manuel Fournier Castillo.

The series delves into some of the latest research from our Prosperity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship MSc alumni students and starts a different kind of conversation with researchers, practitioners and entrepreneurs doing cutting edge work and rethinking entrepreneurship in new ways.

The first episode looks at how female entrepreneurs deal with adversity. A pertinent conversation with implications for policies that are not one size fits all but take into consideration the nuances of being a female entrepreneur. This is work done by former MSc PIE student Bidisha Pandey (Director Trade and Investment - Australian Trade and Investment Commission).

The latest episode ‘Beyond GDP’, discusses the relationship between metrics such as GDP and economic, social and environmental wellbeing. Why is it that if your phone gets stolen it's good for GDP but not for you? Hear from Justin Van Wyk (former MSc PIE student and Founder/CEO Metis AI) and Robert Costanza (Professor of Ecological Economics and Co-Programme Lead on the new Prosperity, People and Planet MSc).

The series will be of interest to students and professionals in the entrepreneurship field and new episodes will be released monthly until June. You can listen, subscribe and share on Spotify.
