The IGP joins over one hundred organisational members including The Club of Rome, The World Fair Trade Organisation and the Green Economy Coalition, all passionate about making the economy work for people and planet.

The WEAII is a leading collaborative movement for economic system changes and believes that a wellbeing economy should deliver an equitable distribution of wealth, health and wellbeing, and protect the planet’s resources for future generations and other species.

This is closely aligned with the IGP’s vision for a better quality of life for all and its recognition of the interdependence of the natural and human worlds and the urgent need to develop social, economic and political institutions that deliver pathways to sustainable prosperity, planetary regeneration and resilience.

A wellbeing economy must look beyond GDP and start with the idea that the economy should serve people and communities, first and foremost. As Professor Henrietta L. Moore, Founder and Director of the IGP says

We need to jettison our obsession with economic "growth" and instead focus on how we can achieve genuine prosperity for all, within the confines of our environment.

As a Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll) member, the IGP looks forward to contributing to the ongoing effort to build a wellbeing economy that is regenerative, collaborative and purposeful.
