Professor Rosi Braidotti to continue Honorary Professorship at the IGP
28 October 2019
Professor Rosi Braidotti will continue to work with the IGP in an Honorary Professorship for the next three years
We are delighted to announce that distinguished cultural theorist, Professor Rosi Braidotti, will continue working with the Institute for Global Prosperity as Honorary Professor for the coming three years.
Professor Braidotti is a distinguished contemporary philosopher and feminist theoretician. She is renowned for her thinking on feminism, subjectivity, and ethics in a post-anthropological world.
What attracted my especially to the IGP is the combination of academic excellence with a profound commitment to being active at the level of public debates, policy advice and citizens' participation. Ultimately, it comes down to a sense of ethical accountability for the effects that ideas and research outcomes have upon the world. There is no academic excellence without at least some sense of social responsibility. - Professor Rosi Braidotti
Professor Braidotti has led several activities with us already during her time at UCL, including a keynote address exploring pan-humanity and series of workshops on the themes of COSMOS - AFFECT - POLIS, in 2017; a sold-out Director's Seminar: What is the Human in the Humanities Today? in 2018.
We look forward to future collaborations, including our work together on the World Humanities Report.
