Dr Nikolay Mintchev

Director of Research

Research Summary

Dr Nikolay Mintchev is a Principal Research Fellow at IGP, where he is also Departmental Graduate Tutor (PhD).

His work focuses on the UK and Lebanon, and he is a core team member of the IGP-led PROCOL Lebanon. His latest work addresses the following themes:

1. The relationship between diversity and prosperity. 

2. Social theories of prosperity. 

3. Understanding and measuring prosperity in contexts. 

4. Participatory research methodologies and pathways to impact.
 

He convenes and teaches the IGP MSc modules ‘Pathways to Prosperity 1: Global Legacies’ and ‘Social Theories of Prosperity’.

Prior to joining the IGP he was Lecturer at the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies at Essex University (2014-2015), where he is currently Visiting Fellow.
