Did you know that...
The philosopher Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) was Danish. Kierkegaard was the father of existentialism and it was on the basis his books
and ideas that French philosophers such as Jean-Paul Sartre and Albert Camus later based their works.
The Danish linguist Rasmus Rask (1787-1832) knew about 50 languages. Rask discovered the Germanic sound shift - for example why p becomes f so
that the Latin 'pater' becomes 'father' in English.
