Archaeological approaches to standing buildings

The study of standing buildings forms an important yet distinctive field in modern archaeology. This course will introduce students to a wide range of historic buildings with examples drawn from around the world. The course also considers the analysis of buildings focussing on the built environment of the middle ages in the British Isles. A day-outing looking at London's medieval buildings is also included.
