Computational approaches and tools to help protect heritage.

Mark Altaweel is leading a project, working with an NGO, Walk of Truth, to help build different computational approaches and tools to help protect heritage.

The effort focuses on developing technologies, particularly around artificial intelligence, to monitor and protect against illegal antiquities/cultural objects sales online.

This work has led to several publications in 2019 and 2020 and development of tools and services currently used to monitor and protect against illegal object sales.
