Job Vacancy: Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Museum Studies

The UCL Institute of Archaeology currently has a vacancy for an Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Museum Studies (Ref.:1887572). The deadline for applications is 11 October 2022.

A full-time Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Museum Studies is sought to undertake and support the teaching, assessment, and pastoral care associated with the MA Museum Studies programme. The post-holder will primarily carry out the following tasks: contributing to teaching, administration and marking across Term 2 MA Museum Studies modules; supervising and marking MA Museum Studies dissertations; and other contributions as required.

The post is available from 1 January 2023 and is fixed term until 30 September 2023, providing cover for Alice Stevenson for the period when she will be on research leave.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Museum Studies or Museology, or Museum, Gallery and Heritage Studies (please ensure you clearly articulate the relevance of the degree to Museum Studies in your application). They will also have experience of delivering classes and assessing student work at postgraduate level, of supervision/supporting MA dissertations and practical experience working in or with the museum sector, particularly in collections management care, and the ability to apply this experience to teaching.
