The latest volume of Archaeology International (Vol 24, 2021), published by UCL Press, showcases the expansive range of research and activities of the staff of the UCL Institute of Archaeology.

“Research articles cover subjects including 'co-creation of sustainable food futures', 'heritage questing with Virginia Woolf', and 'citizenship and religion in the 1st millennium BCE Mediterranean' to project updates from Chichester, Stonehenge and Sur Island in Sudan.

In addition, through news reports, book summaries, alumni reflections and obituaries, the volume captures not just another challenging year, but also the continued dedication of the staff and students of the UCL Institute of Archaeology, past and present.

The journal, produced annually since 1997, combines news about Institute activities with reports on research, both new and on-going projects, carried out by members of staff. You can read more about the journal as well as freely read the latest issue and the entire back issues online here.

UCL Press, established in 2015, is the UK’s first fully open access university press and publishes 14 open access journals and over 50 open access books per year in a wide range of subjects. UCL Press makes all its books and journals available in open access form to download freely in PDF form or read online anywhere in the world.
