TAG@UCL-IoA: Conference Registration open

31 July 2019

The UCL Institute of Archaeology will organise the 41st annual Theoretical Archaeology Group (TAG) Conference in December 2019 for which registration is now open.

TAG 2019 logo

This year's TAG conference theme, 'Power, Knowledge and the Past' is intended to be broad and topical, emphasising both current debates about ontologies and ideologies in past societies, and the role of knowledge about the past in contemporary political narratives.

Registration

Fees

Registration fees are £70 waged and £40 students/unwaged. This includes admission to all conference sessions/events (including the plenary session and reception, the Antiquity quiz and the TAG party), a conference information pack, and refreshments during tea/coffee breaks. Packed lunches can be booked separately, along with a full printed abstract book. All delegates (including speakers and session organisers) must register for the conference.

Accommodation

Alternative catering for lunches and other meals is readily available in the area around the Institute of Education (suggestions of pubs and restaurants will be provided nearer the event). For accommodation, we suggest using www.booking.com or other major websites; there is extensive and varied accommodation in London but please bear in mind that, as the conference is close to Christmas, booking early is advisable.
