Job Vacancy: Laboratory, Facilities and Fieldwork Technician

The UCL Institute of Archaeology currently has a vacancy for a Laboratory, Facilities and Fieldwork Technician (Ref.: 1853414). The deadline for applications is 6 January 2020.
A Laboratory, Facilities and Fieldwork Technician is sought to provide support for teaching and research in the UCL Institute of Archaeology. The main responsibilities are providing technical support for the Institute's Conservation, Geoarchaeology and Micromorphology laboratories, fieldwork equipment management and supporting the Facilities Manager in overseeing the management of the Institute's Gordon Square building. Additional responsibilities include potential off-site working at a Forensic Lab and outdoor facility at UCL Clare Hall, Potter's Bar.
The successful candidate will have a BSc in a scientific discipline or equivalent. They will have experience of working in a laboratory, using laboratory equipment and have knowledge of general laboratory chemistry. They will also have an understanding of building maintenance concerns.
