IT in Cultural Heritage Management 2019 poster

22 May 2019, at Registan Medrese Ulugbek, Uzbekistan the international conference on IT in CHM will discuss the possibilities of using information technologies in management of museums and heritage. CAAL Principal Investigator Tim Williams will introduce The Central Asian Archaeological Landscapes project: digital geospatial inventories and archives for Central Asia; and Director Dmitriy Voyakin of the International Institute for Central Asian Studies UNESCO will present on the Silk Road - cooperation in the area of Central Asian countries.

International Conference on IT in Cultural Heritage Management (IT-CHM 2019), hosted by the Institute of Computer Science, Lublin University of Technology, Poland; Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan; Registan Ensemble, Samarkand, Uzbekistan; International Institute for Central Asian Studies UNESCO; Scientific-Practical Museum-Laboratory, Samarkand, Uzbekistan. To be held at Medrese Ulugbek, Registan Ensemble, Samarkand, Uzbekistan on 22 May 2019.

The day will include papers on 3D Silk Road; Generating digital 3D models from the are of the Silk Road; Museums of Samarkand; Silk Road - cooperation in the area of Central Asian countries; 3D digital reconstruction of selected vessels from excavations; Preparation of 3D models of architectural objects; Photo and multimedia exhibitions of the First Scientific Expedition of the Lublin University of Technology to Central Asia; Museums of Uzbekistan; 3D scans - results of a 2nd expedition; Central Asian Archaeological Landscapes project: digital geospatial inventories and archives for Central Asia.
