An inaugural welcome event for the Forum of Island Research and Experience (FIRE) and first 'Wildfire' lecture will take place at the UCL Institute of Archaeology on Tuesday 22 October, 6-7.30pm in Room 612 (6th floor). The guest speakers will be Julian Garay-Vasquez and Sarah Forgesson, covering aspects of the Caribbean and the South Pacific.
A wine reception will follow the event. We encourage anyone who is doing research on islands, interested in island studies, or from an island itself, to come along and contribute to FIRE going forward into the new academic year.
