This year we will be exploring how scientific research can be both interdisciplinary and engaging to the public. To address many of our pressing global challenges, two main gaps need to be bridged: the gap between different academic disciplines and the gap between academia and the public audience. Our speakers have done interdisciplinary research and engaged with the public to explain how this has been important in finding solutions to challenges in a real-life context.
Panellists include:
- Dr Cini Bhanu - Institute of Epidemiology & Health, UCL
- Komal Bhatia - Research Fellow, UCL institute of Global Health
- Dr Charlotte Johnson - UCL Institute for Sustainable Resources
- Professor Daniel Richardson - Experimental Psychology, UCL
