Section 2: Short-term Illness and other Extenuating Circumstances

Portico Outage - 8th - 12th December 2022

Portico will be unavailable from 17h00 on Thursday 8 December until 10h00 on Monday 12 December. This is due to the scheduled move to the Cloud.

Please note that you will not be able to submit EC Claims whilst Portico is offline.

You will be able to submit new applications as soon as the service is restored and any delay due to this service outage will be taken into account.

FOR SELF-CERTIFICATION CLAIMS: Please note, if you wish to submit a self-certification claim for an assessment that is due during the outage, you should:

  1. Contact your department via email before the deadline to inform them that you wish to submit a self-cert claim;
  2. Once Portico is back online, submit the claim as an evidenced claim, select that you will attach evidence later and add a note in the Summary of circumstances field that this is a retrospective self-certification claim for (specify date) due to the Portico outage.

The panel will then be able to review your claim and convert it to self-certification where appropriate.

FOR EVIDENCED CLAIMS: You should follow the usual process to submit evidenced claims once the service is restored as these can be submitted after an assessment deadline.
