Miss Macharia is an SPR in Paediatric Surgery and an early-years researcher. Her PhD project is titled: “Risk stratification in gastro- oesophageal reflux.” As a Clinical Research Associate at the Institute of Child Health she was responsible for coordinating the REMOS Trial as well as the TARDIS Study. Miss Macharia is supervised by Professor TJ Cole, Dr Simon Eaton and Professor Agostino Pierro at the UCL Insitute of Child Health. |

Professor Tim Cole is an eminent medical statistician with a research interest in child growth and paediatrics. He brings experience of statistical analysis of large and complex data sets, and the development of software for the analysis of growth data. Professor Cole will be pivotal in developing the statistical algorithms that will drive the analysis and reporting of data collected. |

UCL Advances
UCL Advances offers training, networking and business support for staff, students and external entrepreneurs to encourage and enable new enterprises to get going. We have been working closely with Dr Alastair Moore, DECIDE Project Lead and Mr Richard Groves of Noodlefroot Ltd. Open Forms Ltd. OpenForms Ltd. develops software that assists multi-lingual consultations. Working in consultation with the TARDIS project team, OpenForms will articulate the technical specifications for developing smart-phone based research tools. |
