New MSc in Health Economics and Decision Science
16 May 2016
UCL will soon begin accepting applications for a new MSc in Health Economics and Decision Science,
due to commence in September 2017. This Masters degree spans the disciplines of
economics, statistics and epidemiology, training students in applied issues,
while providing the theoretical foundations expected of an outstanding UCL
Students can select between decision science and an economics stream, with materials relevant for both higher income countries, and global health. Students will be required to take eight taught modules and complete a substantive piece of research as a dissertation or project. Strong links to industry and a severe shortage of skills in this area will ensure that graduates of this programme are highly employable.
The Department of Statistical Science will contribute to the teaching, especially for the decision science stream. Questions should be addressed to Dr Gianluca Baio.
