Dr Gareth Peters publishes book as joint edited volume for Springer MCQMC 2012

15 September 2013

The Monte Carlo and Quasi Monte Carlo Methods in Scientific Computing conference is a major conference in statistics and applied mathematics which explores the interface between Monte Carlo methods (MCMC and SMC) and Quasi Monte Carlo methodologies. This large international conference runs every two years and was most recently held in 2012 in Sydney, jointly organised by Professor Ian Sloane, Dr Josef Dick, Dr Frances Kuo and Dr Gareth Peters.

Each conference publishes an edited volume for Springer and this is generally a highly regarded volume highlighting state of the art methods in the two areas of research. The latest installment of this series is an edited volume of around 600 pages. The organizing committee and all contributors are thanked for their hard work and participation.
