Research Interests: Clustering of health behaviours; Health behaviour change; Health and ageing; Health inequalities at older ages
Research Description: Dr Shankar is currently working on a project aimed at understanding the socioeconomic and psychosocial determinants of multiple health behaviours in older adults using data from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing. She is also interested in the social cognitive predictors of maintenance of health behaviours and the impact of gender, ethnicity and deprivation on access to care and the management of conditions.
