Friends Bursaries

  1. Four awards known as the Friends Bursaries may be awarded in each session.

  2. The Bursaries are awarded by the Council on the recommendation of the Friends of University College London.

  3. The value of the bursaries is £500.

  4. The Bursaries are awarded to first year undergraduate students in the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. The financial circumstances and academic progress of candidates will be taken into consideration.

  5. Nominations should be made by Heads of Departments to the Registrar to arrive not later than the 2l January.

  6. Nominations are considered by the Friends Bursaries Sub Committee in early February.

  7. Awards are announced in April.

  8. Awards are subject to the provisions of the General Regulations.
