1851 Commission Research Fellowship in Design - offered by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851
Announced in 2006, this new fellowship will be awarded every other year for two years' research in a specified study area and seeks to explore current design issues. A topic is selected for each award by the commissioners. Disciplines include: art and design; chemical engineering; computer and computer science; electrical/electronic engineering; mechanical engineering; structural engineering.
Two years, UK/Commonwealth students only, £30,000 per annum.

British Federation of Women Graduates (BFWG)
The British Federation of Women Graduates provides scholarships for women in their final year of study for a PhD. Its wholly-owned subsidiary, Funds for Women Graduates, makes awards to help women graduates while undertaking postgraduate study or research. **Fees must be covered, waived or payable**
EU Marie Curie Research Studentships
This refers to researchers at the beginning of their research career with less than four years' active research experience (e.g. researchers undertaking a doctoral degree).

Funds for Women Graduates (FfWG)
FfWG offers emergency grants to women who face an unforeseen financial crisis whilst engaged in study or research at institutions of higher education research in Great Britain. Grants are not likely to exceed £1500 and are offered twice a year in March and November.
