The Transcalar Politics of Urban Development Conference

Trascalar Politics of Urban Development Conference Flier

The Transcalar Politics of Urban Development Conference is a UCL Urban Lab conference supported by the Making Africa Urban project. Celebrating the end of the Making Africa Urban project, we invite you to join us at an international conference to revisit analyses of urban development politics from a diversity of contexts and perspectives. How do the interests and concerns of different actors come together through collaborations, contestations and collusions to shape the future of urban areas? The research team brings cases of large-scale urban developments from Dar es Salaam, Accra and Lilongwe, and are eager to explore how African experiences can contribute to wider analyses of urban development politics.
