UCL STROKE RESEARCH CENTRE
UCL is an international leader in the field of stroke, with major strengths in basic neuroscience relevant to understanding the mechanisms involved. It is home to a hyper-acute and acute stroke research unit, researching multiple domains including stroke prevention, advanced neuroimaging, carotid artery disease, small vessel disease and intracerebral haemorrhage, and neurorehabilitation. The Stroke Research Centre runs a portfolio of over twenty high-quality clinical trials, and developments in the clinical configuration of stroke services at UCL, UCLH and partner organisations provide enhanced possibilities for research teams working in stroke to cooperate more closely in a unified programme.
