Module description

This module aims to provide a continuation of the study of medical statistics, with emphasis on more advanced topics in epidemiological methods and the design and analysis of clinical trials.

Prerequisite knowledge

STAT0015 is primarily intended for students within the Department of Statistical Science (including the MASS programmes). The academic prerequisite for these students, in addition to their (other) compulsory modules, is STAT0014.

For outside students, the following module is considered a sufficient alternative prerequisite: STAT0039

Registration process

STAT0015 is specified as a formal option within the MSc Health Economics and Decision Science programme. Students from this programme who have taken the alternative prerequisite module listed above should simply register for STAT0015 on Portico and await a decision.

STAT0015 is NOT offered as an elective.
