Olga Volosova

Olga Volosova has a PhD in Ukrainian Literature and MA in the Ukrainian language from Kharkiv National University. She studied also at the Harvard Summer School. Olga has been teaching Ukrainian since 1999, including teaching it as a foreign language to adults and children in England since 2006 (the University of Birmingham and St Mary’s Ukrainian School in London). She joined UCL SSEES in 2017.  

Her publications include Collins Ukrainian MiniGem and Gem Dictionaries and textbooks on Ukrainian Literature for Years 5, 6 and 7 for St Mary’s Ukrainian School in London. She translated films from Ukrainian into English. 

Olga’s research interests lie in the area of Ukrainian literature and language, especially language learning. Her knowledge of Russian and Polish are very helpful for students who choose Ukrainian as their second Slavic language.
