Arman Soldin, 1991-2023

SSEES graduate, Arman Soldin was tragically killed this week in Ukraine. Arman graduated in 2013 with a BA in Politics and East European Studies, and went on to work as a journalist for gloabl news agency Agence France Presse. He was one of the first from AFP to be sent to Ukraine to report on the war and worked as a video coordinator. The School sends its sincere condolences to all who knew him. Former classmates describe him as 'Always kind, always fun and always happy'.

SSEES Director, Prof Diane P. Koenker notes: 'This brings home yet again the devastation of this war.  All of us at SSEES deeply regret this tragic loss of one of our alumni.'
