SSEES students of Ukrainian participate in the International Student Translation Contest

As in previous years, SSEES students of Ukrainian participated in the International Student Translation Contest run by Mykhailo Drahomanov State University in Kyiv, Ukraine. The students had to translate a poem by the contemporary writer Bohdana Matiyash. MA student Catherine Mullier was awarded first prize in this category and second-year BA students Richard Hayward and Genevieve Morgan came joint second. The winners all received certificates and Catherine’s translation was published in the Krytyka journal of culture, literature and current affairs.
