Congratulations to Dr Agnieszka Kubal (Lecturer in Sociology at UCL SSEES) and Dr Birgit Apitzsch (Sociological Research Institute (SOFI) in Göttingen, Germany), who have been awarded the seed funding (£10,000) by the British Academy for their research project ‘Judicial activism in times of crisis - a comparative perspective’. This is one of the six new humanities and social sciences research projects examining issues related to “Ethical futures: realities, responsibilities and resourcefulness” to help strengthen ties and facilitate partnerships between researchers based in the UK and in Germany.
