New publication 'Russia Unfiltered' by Ilayda Nijhar, SSEES MA student in Russian

Ilayda Nijhar, MA student in Russian, published her book 'Russia Unfiltered' (Ozan Yayincilik, 2019). The book is a compilation of published articles she has written over a course of three years from 2015 and 2018, all focused on Russian politics, culture and international affairs. Ilayda's knowledge of Russia was cultivated through annual trips in which she spent prolonged periods of time both in St. Petersburg and Moscow to refine her understanding of the country and its people from a personal, unfiltered perspective. Her articles feature contemporary analyses of Russian current affairs over the past three years, with a particular focus on the developments between Russia and NATO and more significantly Russo-Turkish relations.
