Provost's Teaching Award

Congratulations to Riitta-Liisa Valijärvi who has won the Provost’s Teaching Award under the category Staff at the Beginning of their Careers. 

Riitta joined SSEES in 2006 as Finnish Language Teacher and was promoted in 2012 to Senior Teaching Fellow in Finnish Language. Riitta has been instrumental in setting up the on-line teaching of languages, a project that is being piloted at SSEES with support from CEELBAS.

Riitta was one of five in her category for the Award, for which there was very stiff competition. but the panel was impressed by what she has done to enhance the learning experience of students. The award ceremony will take place on 9 June.
