Andrew Wilson will discuss his new book 'Political Technology'

'Political technology' is a ubiquitous term in Russia, but little used in the West. But Western spin doctors and political consultants have outgrown their original definitions. They also engage in political technology, properly defined, as 'supply-side engineering of the political system'. The book and the book launch will compare political technology in Russia, Ukraine and the USA.

Andrew Wilson is Professor of Ukrainian Studies at UCL SSEES. His last book on a similar subject was 'Virtual Politics: Faking Democracy in the Post-Soviet World' in 2005. See also his politicaltechnology.blog
