UCL SSEES Professor Andrew Wilson will present the fifth edition of 'The Ukrainians: The Story of How a People Became A Nation', now covering events up to and including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022; explaining why Russia took such a drastic step and why Ukrainian resistance has been so resilient.

Guardian Journalist Luke Harding’s latest book 'Invasion: The Inside Story of Russia’s Bloody War and Ukraine’s Fight for Survival' reports from the front lines on a war that is confounded expectations about the balance of power between Russia and Ukraine and is reshaping Europe and the World.
