Maintaining a long-standing cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), CCSEE is proud to host this year’s round-table discussion expanding the scope and insight of the recently launched EBRD Transition report 2021-22. Digitalisation will remain one of the key forces shaping our world. Building on rich sources of data, it introduces a new index of digital transformation and highlights digital divides across and within countries. It will be vital to the success of economies to address these divides. The Transition Report 2021-22 explores how economies in the EBRD regions can deliver the digital dividend, both during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.
The aim of the event is to provide a commentary on the issues covered in the report, continue the discussion it generated and focus on a series of relevant topics. The panel consists of renowned experts in each field.
Structure: 10 min presentations from each speaker followed by a discussion and Q&A. Topics and speakers are listed below.
Dr Zsoka Koczan - Report overview and general comments
Prof. Slavo Radosevic - Digital Divides
Dr Randolph Bruno - Digital Infrastructure and Firms' Performance
Dr Dániel Vértesy - Teleworking, AI and the Labour Force
Prof. Julia Korosteleva - FinTech and Banks in Transition
