Following the success of the first London workshop on uncertainty, University College London, University of Leicester and Banque de France will co-organize a second workshop on “Impact of uncertainty shocks on the global economy” during May 12-13, 2016. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together researchers working on various aspects of measurement, modelling, evaluation and analysis of macroeconomic uncertainties, with a special emphasis on the effects of uncertainty on the global economy.

Keynote speakers: Nick Bloom (Stanford University) and Barbara Rossi (Universitat Pompeu Fabra).

Selected papers presented in the conference will be considered for an expedited review process for a Journal of International Money and Finance special issue titled “Impact of uncertainty shocks on the global economy”, which will be scheduled to be published in 2016. The special issue will be edited by Menzie Chinn (JIM and University of Wisconsin–Madison), Laurent Ferrara (Banque de France) and Raffaella Giacomini (UCL).
