This
year’s Platform Ukraine Conference 2015 will cover a variety of topics, such as
Everyday and Gendered Experiences of Conflict; Memory and Identity; Artistic Responses to the Crisis in Ukraine; Framing and Living conflict in
the Post-Socialist Space; War and Methodology.
The keynote speaker will be Professor Richard Sakwa (University of Kent) who will speak on ‘The Ukraine Syndrome’.
Other speakers include: Maureen Seguin (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine); Heiko Pleines (University of Bremen); Iryna Solonenko (European University Viadrina, Frankfurt/Oder); Olha Tkachenko (Warsaw University) and Mykola Makhortykh (University of Amsterdam).
The conference will include a panel on Chernobyl and a round table on Olga Onuch’s book Mapping Mass Mobilisation. Full programme and registration.
