Leah Nodvin - IMESS Politics and Security 2014-16

Studying at SSEES provided a program to hone my methodological research skills and deepen my understanding of the political and security concerns in Eastern Europe. Later, while studying in Moscow, I was able to put my regional knowledge into practice as well as further develop my language skills and cultural understanding. Most importantly, during the IMESS program I was able to build strong friendships and lasting connections.

There is no quantitative amount to place on the value of this program, particularly in the ways it has it has enhanced and influenced my subsequent career path. Presently, I utilize this epistemology daily in my position as a research fellow at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. I am grateful for the opportunity to have completed the IMESS program and the doors it has opened thereafter.

Current Occupation: Research Fellow at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Liaison Office Vienna
