Cass Art, the UK’s leading independent art supplies retailer, has announced the Cass Art Painting Prize. A total of £1500 of prizes will be awarded to three graduates from the Undergraduate Fine Art Programme 2016 at the Slade School of Fine Art. Students will be selected by staff in Undergraduate Painting and winners will be announced after the degree show. See www.cassart.co.uk.

The Slade Material Museum presents: Cennino Cennini's famous recipe 'On the Character of Ultramarine blue and how to make it', in the tiny museum, situtated in the entrance of the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, Gower Street, London WC1E 6BT, from 5 July - 20 September 2016. The display is accompanied by poems on the nature of blue by Sharon Morris, poet-in-residence. More information can be found on the Materials Research Project webpage and Materials Research Blog.
