The incident investigation course is aimed at staff who will either lead or assist in the investigation of incidents or accidents in the workplace.
Course description
This eLearning module will provide you with the knowledge you will need to conduct the Initial Assessment of the incident management workflow.
Objectives
This course will take you through the following:
- Why investigations are necessary.
- How incident investigations help improve safety for everyone at UCL.
- The difference between immediate and underlying causes.
- Different types of evidence.
- How an investigation fits into the incident management workflow.
- How to structure the investigation report.
- Identify when further investigation is required.
Target audience
This course is for staff who will lead or assist in an investigation of an incident or accident in the workplace.
Cost
Training courses are free to UCL staff.
