The GMBSSC will provide management oversight through the monitoring of key performance indicators.

Key performance indicators

Key performance indicators will include:

1. The Biological Safety Adviser report which will highlight key activities to the WHSC covering the quarter proceeding the meeting, and will consist of 2 tables:
   • Table 1 Risk assessments and HSE notification.  This will contain the information on the number of summitted risk assessment, requirements for approval by the GMBSSC, HSE notification applied for and the reference of the consent letter when received.
   • Table 2 Inspections and Audits.  This will contain information ofn inspections carried out on each Containment Level 3 (CL3) laboratory as recorded in the Audit and inspection module in riskNET.  It will also contain a section on the annual inspection carried out by Safety Services and the due date of the next.
2. Propose, develop, monitor and report on the implementation and effectiveness of UCL’s Health and Safety Policy with respect to the work activities covered in the scope (biological safety).
