Course description
If you have been appointed as the departmental Appointed Person (Statutory Testing) of Lifting Equipment and Pressure Systems, this essential course will help you to understand your role.
This will include:
- UCL Standards on the Statutory Testing of Lifting Equipment and Pressure Systems
- Roles and responsibilities of the Head of Department and the Appointed Person
- Equipment covered (definitions)
- Written Scheme of Examination (WSE)
- Registering new equipment and removing de-commissioned equipment from the register, using the spreadsheet
- Declaration of Conformity
- Sources of Information
All safety instructor-led training courses are delivered by our team of safety experts.
Objectives
This eLearning course will help you understand your responsibilities in your role as the Appointed Person (Statutory Testing) of Lifting Equipment and Pressure Systems and how to meet the requirements of the UCL Standards on the Statutory Testing of Lifting Equipment and Pressure Systems.
Target audience
This course is for staff who are appointed by their Head of Department as an Appointed Person (Statutory Testing) of Lifting Equipment and Pressure Systems
Cost
Training courses are free to UCL staff however your Department will be charged £50 if you fail to attend when booked on a course. Non-attendance at first aid courses will incur a higher non-attendance fee.
