First aid at work training

This first aid course is designed for staff and post graduate students who qualify via the First Aid Training Application process.

Course description


The First Aid at Work and Emergency First Aid at Work training courses cover the content specified by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland (HSE NI).  

At UCL, first aid training is provided by the British Red Cross.  A full description of the First Aid at Work 3 day training course can be found on their website.

Please note that refreshments are provided but lunch is not.

Pre-requisites

To request first aid training, the manager of the work or work area must complete the First Aid Training Request form and submit to Safety Services for consideration.

Target audience


All staff and post graduate students who qualify via the first aid training application process

Cost


Training courses are free to UCL staff however your Department will be charged the full course price if you fail to attend when booked on a course. To avoid incurring a charge, you must inform Safety Services if you are unable to attend the course at least 10 working days before the course date.

External delegates


Places to external delegates are only offered if there is spare capacity on an instructor-led course.

Please contact safetytraining@ucl.ac.uk to be placed on a waiting list stating the course title and date you wish to join.
