Verature – a new contractor management tool launched
30 May 2023
Campus Experience and Infrastructure is excited to announce the launch of its new Contractor Management Tool – Verature. The software will improve UCL's contractor management, bringing efficiency and control to the entire contractor management process.
What is Verature?
Verature provides UCL with an improved systematic approach to granting access to all UCL buildings, while ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed to mitigate any negative disruption to operational and academic activities. The system is in use across a number of similarly complex organisations to UCL and has been adapted to fit with UCL’s unique requirements.
Key features of Verature
- Contractor induction.
- Authorisation to work.
- Permit to work for high-risk activities.
Controlled access to buildings
Verature manages and controls access to restricted areas and gives departmental contacts the ability to see details of the works, including risk assessments, method statements and individual competencies. Where high-risk works occur permits will be raised by Authorised Persons only.
Do you have a restricted area?
If you believe an area under your control is “restricted” and you have not been given a Verature system demo, contact the Compliance & Performance team in Campus Experience & Infrastructure to arrange one.
Where can I get further information?
