Safety Risk Management - new training programme

Managers, Principal Investigators (PIs) and supervisors hold a key role in mitigating health and safety risk. To help you understand your role and fulfil your responsibilities in relation to safety risk management, Safety Services has developed a new eLearning programme.

The Safety Risk Management programme provides guidance on how you can meet your responsibilities, improve safety culture and encourage communication with your peers at a department level and across the wider university.

Course content

Comprising of 6 short online courses, the SRM programme introduces the idea of responsible risk management and covers a range of safety management concepts which when applied will facilitate its successful achievement and thereby a safe and healthy workplace.

  3. Safety information and reporting
  4. Safety competence
  5. Safety performance
  6. Safety culture

Start with Safety Risk Management which automatically provides access to the other 5 safety management courses. You can pick the next course in any order that suits your immediate needs. There is no target completion for the programme however, we recommend completing them within six months of starting the programme.
