We are pleased to announce the first Masterclass on Stress Testing for Building Infrastructure Resilience, to be held online from 9am to 4pm GMT on the 10th of December 2021. The masterclass will be organised jointly by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), University College London’s Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction, and The Resilience Shift.
The Masterclass will cover topics such as:
- Challenges to implementation of infrastructure resilience
- Exploring pathways for infrastructure resilience
- Introducing principles for infrastructure resilience
- Addressing business continuity and service delivery
- Introducing stress testing critical infrastructure
The lectures will be delivered by both academics and practitioners, including an exercise to facilitate discussion on the topics. A joint certification of attendance will be provided to recognise the participation to the events. The event is by invitation only for a selected target of colleagues of the public and private sectors, as well as for the students of the IRDR's Master’s programmes.
This Masterclass will be a pilot for future collaborative events.
